Larry Lee Miller

Larry Lee Miller, 56, of Marietta, passed away at 11:35 a.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 28, 2011) at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marietta on May 25, 1955, a son of Clement F. and Lillian Kemper Miller, Jr.

Larry was employed by Hyde Brothers Printing Company as a bindery finisher. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Larry was past master of Harmar Lodge #390 F & A.M., past high priest of American Union Chapter #1, RAM, past illustrious master of Marietta Council #78 R & SM, past commander of Marietta Commandry #50 Knights Templar, a Knight of York Cross of Honour Ohio Priory #18, Ohio Valley York Rite College #169, American Union Council #445, Allied Masonic Degrees Donegal Council #94, Knight Masons of the USA.

On April 10, 1976, he married Rhonda Cooper Miller, who survives with one son and one daughter, Matthew (Jessica) Miller and Katie A. (Tony) Miller, all of Marietta; five grandchildren; and two brothers, Michael Miller and Tim Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Sept. 30) at 1:30 p.m. at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Dr. Gerald Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon after 3 p.m. with Masonic services on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Messages of sympathy may be sent at: www.mslfuneralhome.com.

Larry Gale Dye ,62, of Newport, OH passed away Saturday September 24, 2011 in Marietta. Larry was born Saturday April 9, 1949 in Marietta to Gerald M. and Marie Elizabeth Giffin Dye. Larry worked as a meat cutter for the Newport I.G.A. for 44 years. He was a member and involved in the choir at the First Congregational Church in Marietta. Larry was a Past Master and past secretary of Harmar Lodge #390 F. & A.M., Past Excellent High Priest of American Union Chapter #1 RAM,Past Illustrious Master of Marietta Council #78 R. & S.M., Past Commander of Marietta Commandry #50 Knights Templar,a Knight of  York Cross of Honour Ohio Priory # 18, Past Watchman of Shepherds White Shrine of Jerusalem #12  and a Past Patron Order of Eastern Star #59. In addition to his parents he is survived by his siblings Jerry and Teresa Dye both of Marietta. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the First Congregational Church 318 Front Street, Marietta with Rev. Linda Steelman officiating, burial to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM with an Eastern Star and Masonic Service concluding visitation.
